Gaston Literacy Council is closely following the updates and instructions from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, and our local health department to limit the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of our students, staff, and volunteers.
While GLC has currently suspended all in-person classes and tutoring sessions until further notice, our Distance Learning Programs are up and running. We are continuing to work with our students to set up virtual learning options. Instruction continues through both synchronous and asynchronous platforms. We will continue to monitor the situation and make any operating decisions based on local, state, and federal guidelines. Check back regularly for updates.
